[1] An invitation to the ISWI community
Dear ISWI Community,A special issue of the online journal Sun and Geosphere (http://www.sungeosphere.org/) is being planned to publish the papers presented at the UN/US ISWI Workshop held on July 31÷Aug. 4, 2017 at Boston College, Chestnut Hill MA, USA.
The special issue for the previous UN/Japan ISWI workshop held in Fukuoka, Japan, can be found in Vol.10 No.2 - 2015 of the journal.
In order to offer an opportunity to the wider ISWI community to contribute to the workshop, the ISWI community is hereby invited to submit workshop-relevant papers for publication in the special issue.
To that end, original articles addressing any of the following topics will be considered:
1) International recognition of space weather risks;
2) Building on today’s space weather foundation;
3) Developing an international framework for space weather services;
4) Scientific results on the interplanetary medium, geospace, the ionosphere and thermosphere;
5) Space weather instruments;
6) Space Weather Modeling:
(1) From Sun to Geospace and
(2) Radiation and Plasma Environment;
7) Extreme space weather; and
8) Coordination of Space- and Ground-Based Data Resources.
All contributed papers will be limited to 6 journal pages. Deadline for submission is December 31, 2017. Publication is scheduled tentatively for August 2018.
