[2] How this newsletter is distributed world wide
I have been editting the "ISWI Newsletter" since 2009, under a mandate from UNOOSA, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. This newsletter operates under the instructions of the ISWI Secretariat; so when I have operational questions I ask that governing board for guidance. ISWI has always had organizational structure. After nearly ten years, it is still going strong thanks to the work of many volunteers. I am just one of them.
You may wonder how I maintain the mailing list for the newsletter. Well, I don't. That would be too much overhead work for me. I use a for-fee service. It is this: https://www.mail-list.com
As you can see, its maintain business is running private email discussion groups. I have been using mail-list.com since 2009, and I can say the service is outstanding. But it does charge an annual fee. The fee is worth it because the support is good.
If you use free services, you run into time-consuming problems because those folks never provide support. So give "mail-list.com" your consideration, especially if you want to run an email discussion group for professionals (doctors, lawyers, architects, etc.).
