The "Expert Meeting on Improving Space Weather Forecasting in the Next Decade" (Vienna, Austria, 10 - 11 February 2014) is going to be a very important meeting for ISWI (and UNBSSI). The UNOOSA staff has done an outstanding job for organizing and managing all aspects of this meeting.
The meeting will be a message for the international space weather community and will have far reaching consequences, both scientifically and in terms of making clear that space weather is the focal issue for cooperation in the field of space science in the coming years.
The peaceful uses of outer space is, after all, an important endeavor for the human species regardless of nationality.
