Dear ISWI Participant:
The attached material comes from Dr Christine Amory, who is the Coordinator of GIRGEA and one of the most active members of the ISWI community. As many of you know, she is a very energetic and enthusiastic space weather scientist/educator.
The first attachment is her presentation at the 2012 AGU Chapman Conference, at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is her assertion that research (and training) on low-latitude ionosphere has advanced thanks to IHY and ISWI --> behold the evidence in this magnificent 40-page pdf.
The second attachment today is another example of an ISWI school in Africa. There are several ISWI schools lined up for Africa this year -- stay tuned all year to this newsletter for details on these and other ISWI events in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. As well, if you want PR for your event(s), please send info to me for distribution to the entire ISWI community; this newsletter exists for that purpose.
