Dear ISWI Participant:
I attach an excellent photo report from the organizers of a space weather event that recently took place in Nigeria.
On slide 3 you can see that Prof. Rabiu has announced the formation
of CAR -- Centre for Atmospheric Research. It is part of Nigeria's
space agency (National Space Research and Development Agency, under
the Federal Ministry of Science&Technology). The first director
of CAR is, of course,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Prof. Rabiu for successfully establishing this new center in his homeland Nigeria. I expect this center will achieve great things in the coming years and decades; I expect to mention these achievements in the issues of this newsletter.
