ISWI Newsletter - Vol.5 No.115
26 October 2013

Dear ISWI Participant:

There are three brief items today:

[1] Please find attached the IAU outreach newsletter for this month. Item 8 in it is about two reports that came out of "UN/Ecuador Workshop on ISWI", which took place one year ago.

Webmaster Notes: (1) Direct link to IAU Newsletter (October 2013) (click here)
(2) Direct link to first report mentioned in it (click here)
(3) Direct link to second report mentioned in it (click here)

[2] In the previous issue of this newsletter, I mentioned that the Graz presentations are viewable at the ISWI Website. They are also all available as one zip file at:
http://www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/SAP/act2013/graz/index.html

(Thanks to Hans and Werner for this info.)

[3] The ISWI Newsletter will be closed from tomorrow til 9 Nov 2013. With a Kyushu University grad student, I will travel to the Equatorial Geophysical Research Laboratory (EGRL) in southern India and also to the South Africa National Space Agency (SANSA) facility at Hermanus, South Africa; it was formerly known as the Hermanus Magnetic Observatory (HMO). It is not far from Capetown. The scheduled work is upgrade of MAGDAS equipment at both sites. Both sites are national observatories.

The ISWI Newsletter will be back in action after I return from India and South Africa.

Happy Halloween from Japan,
George Maeda
Editor of ISWI Newsletter
