Dear ISWI Participant:
Recently, the Kyushu University magnetometer at Bac Lieu, Vietnam,
was upgraded to a MAGDAS 9 instrument.
The attached Photo Report describes this mission to Bac Lieu.
I wish to express my profound gratitude to Dr Ha Duyen Chau of
the Hanoi Institute of Geophysics for going beyond the call of
duty to support our work at Bac Lieu. I have never seen such
energy and enthusiasm in a senior scientist ... he puts to
shame researchers in their 20s and 30s. Thank you, Dr Chau,
for your overwhelming hospitality and generosity of spirit
(and spirits, too!).
