Dear ISWI Participant:
Please find attached the latest CMS Newsletter from
India. On Page 12 of this newsletter, you will find
a photo of a group discussion taking place in preparation
for IHY workshops (precursors of the ISWI workshops of
2010-2012). After the photo, there is an article that reports
on some of the progress since the original discussion.
The discussion centers on the possible signature of
variation of the solar neutrino flux over time in the records
of solar neutrino experiments and the relation of such a
signature, if discovered, to non-equilibrium statistical
mechanics as developed by Tsallis and to entropic pathway as
introduced by Mathai. Spatio-temporal analysis of solar activity
and possible correlation to the variation of the solar neutrino
flux, as reported in the literature, were also discussed.
