(1) An active member of ISWI is Dr Ayman Mahrous of Helwan University in Egypt. He is giving a space weather talk at Saitama University, Japan, on 21 Dec 2012 -- the announcement (in Japanese) is attached. Dr Mahrous received his Phd at this university.

(2) COSPAR and IAU were co-organizers of all twenty UNBSSI workshops. Both organizations have space weather components to them. COSPAR releases information on COSPAR Panel on Space Weather on a regular basis through COSPAR publications. As for the IAU, I attach their updated strategic planning document (courtesy of Dr Hans Haubold at UNOOSA in Vienna).
