(Item 1) A few weeks ago "UN/Ecuador Workshop on ISWI" took place in Quito, Ecuador. At the end of the workshop, the attached resolution was put together. This is a preliminary version -- the final version will be out next month.

The Slovak Central Observatory in Hurbanovo (Slovakia) published recently at its website two documents: The first one is on "CALLISTO in Hurbanovo" and the second one is on "SID Monitoring in Slovakia". (Item 3) Last night, ICSWSE (the publisher of this newsletter) held its annual Christmas party for staff, students, and friends. Over forty persons participated. Before adjourning, we took a group photo -- which is attached. It was a great, festive party ! We also celebrated the fact that Prof. Yumoto is out of the hospital and is now making his recovery at home. (On 3 January of this year he suffered a stroke and was in the hospital until September.)
