The ISWI Newsletter of 12 Dec 2012 (Volume 4, No. 121) contained the conference group photo of "AGU Chapman Conference Ethiopia."

Today, I attach two photo collages with a total of 96 photographs (all taken by myself during the conference). The utilized conference hall belongs to the United Nations's ECA (Economic Commission for Africa), and the hall is simply magnificent, as you can glimpse from the attached photos.

The conveners of this conference were:

- Gizaw Mengistu, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia

I thought the conference was wonderfully implemented, and it indicates that Africa is ready for more conferences like this. I especially enjoyed the conference banquet, which can be seen in the second collage. The poster session and field trip were also outstanding. This conference attracted many high-calibre speakers -- the "Final Program" for this conference was sent out in ISWI Newsletter Volume 4, No. 115, for your reference.

This is a good time for me to express my gratitude to the subscribers's of this newsletter (i.e., you) for your strong and continuous support this year. A million thanks to the folks who sent in material for circulation; I look forward to receiving more material from you in 2013, and beyond.

Your material enables ISWI to reach out to the global space weather community. Your material informs us all. It may not be directly useful to all persons at all times -- but it adds to the sum of knowledge that forms the ISWI community.

Don't worry about the impact or relevance factor of the material you wish to send to this newsletter -- our discriminating subscriber's will make up their own mind on that score ! ... but they cannot ponder on something that they cannot see.
