ISWI Newsletter - Vol.4 No.9 02 February 2012
Dear ISWI Participant:
At last year's "UN/Nigeria Workshop on ISWI" (Abuja, Nigeria) a topic
that repeatedly came up was the status of the
"Regional Centres for Space Science and Technology Education
(Affiliated to the United Nations)". All are up and running.
For more information on these regional centres, please visit
http://www.unoosa.org/oosa/SAP/centres/index.html
It is important to bear in mind that ISWI is both a research
initiative and education initiative. As with any fine graduate
school, "research" and "education" need each other for
effective progress.
Today I attach the profile of one of these regional centres for
space science and technology education. The profile is from the
"Centre for Basic Space Science" in Nigeria, and it is hot
off the press.
